Reiki energy healing and Qigong movement practice with Edward Ormandy, serving the greater Los Angeles area.
Originally from England, I am a certified Advanced Level Reiki Practitioner and Qigong Instructor with over 14 years of experience in the health and wellness field. I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through private sessions and facilitating group programs in spas, addiction treatment centers, and mental health and wellness facilities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
My journey into energy healing began at an early age through my father, who was a Reiki Master. Growing up, he introduced me to a variety of holistic practices, including Reiki, Qigong, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques. Watching the significant, positive impact he had on so many people was one of the strongest forces that led me to become a practitioner myself.
I can still recall the first Reiki treatment I received from my father. It was a vibrant, powerful, and healing experience, and I knew even then that I had found an exceptional gift within myself. The more I have learned about and experienced this work, the more it has become my true passion in life.
“My goal is to help people through the healing power of Reiki, supporting each person on their journey to better health, balance, and overall well-being.”
A Japanese energy-healing practice that works with the body's own capacity to heal, calm, and restore itself.
Reiki is a Japanese energy-healing technique. The practitioner places their hands on or just above the body's many energy points to activate its natural healing processes and restore physical and emotional well-being.
The seven chakras are the centers through which energy flows in the body. When that energy becomes blocked, it can surface as emotional or physical strain. Reiki moves through these blockages, rebalancing the chakras and clearing the body's energy pathways so it can flow freely again.
You rest comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed. Nothing is required of you but to relax and breathe.
Reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands through a series of gentle positions around the head, shoulders, stomach, and feet.
Each position is held for a few minutes, guided by your needs. A full session usually lasts between 45 and 90 minutes.
A traditional Chinese practice that cultivates and balances the body's vital energy through gentle motion.
Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breath regulation, meditation, and focused intention to cultivate and balance the body's vital life-force energy, known as qi.
Often regarded as the foundation of Tai Chi, Qigong supports physical vitality, emotional resilience, and mental clarity. It can be practiced standing or fully seated, making it accessible at any age or level of mobility.
Weight-shifting movement builds stability, coordination, and range of motion.
A steadier, more even energy through the day rather than a jolt and a crash.
The moving-meditation quality trains calm, present-moment attention.
Breath-led practice builds a reliable way to meet difficult emotions.
Gentle, circular patterns lubricate the joints and ease stiffness.
Evening practice quiets a busy mind and supports deeper rest.
Reiki works to keep energy moving freely through the body's seven centers. Each governs a different part of how we feel and function.
Spiritual connection, awareness, and bliss — our link to something greater than ourselves.
Intuition, imagination, and clarity — the ability to see the bigger picture and trust inner wisdom.
Communication and self-expression — speaking our truth openly and honestly.
Love, compassion, and inner peace — our capacity to give and receive love.
Confidence and personal power — self-worth and the ability to steer our own life.
Creativity, pleasure, and emotion — openness to new experiences and connection with others.
Grounding and stability — safety, security, and a steady foundation.
